The latest research on cognition and Parkinson’s Disease has moved from focusing on individuals with significant impairments in thinking skills that directly interfere with completing activities of daily living (i.e., dementia) to identifying initial signs and early symptoms, with the goal of intervening before impairments are severe and debilitating.
