Gene to Fight Parkinson’s Disease Discovered by UCLA Researchers

(September 2, 2014) – Researchers at the University of California Los Angeles, led by Dr. Ming Guo, have discovered the MUL1 gene that helps reduce the amount of damage done by mutated genes to mitochondria, which helps neurons maintain brain health. They believe that MUL1 appears to be a very promising drug target in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. Read more…
