Motorized Stage for Zeiss Axiophot Microscope

David Fink, M.D.
Departments of Neurology and Molecular Genetics & Biochemistry
University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine

Dr. Fink represents in this grant a productive group of investigators, who are focused in large part on neurodegenerative disease. With the purchase of the motorized stage, the Zeiss Axiophot microscope, a true core facility that is used heavily by the group, will be used by these investigators for unbiased stereology, image tilting, 3 dimensional reconstructions and quantitative analysis based on that reconstruction. The added features will serve to enhance ongoing studies.
