Robert Ubell, Vice Dean Emeritus, Online Learning, at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, is President of the Parkinson’s Unity Walk. Recipient of the highest honor given for individual achievement in digital education, the A. Frank Mayadas Leadership Award, he serves on the Advisory Board of the Online Learning Journal, McGraw-Hill Education’s Learning Science Research Advisory Council, and is Co-chair, Partnership Committee, Online Learning Task Force, New York State Board of Regents. In his publishing career, Ubell was editor of the National Magazine Award-winning New York Academy of Sciences monthly, The Sciences; American publisher of the premier British science weekly, Nature; and founding publisher of Nature Biotechnology. He is the author or editor of 26 books, the most recent of which is Going Online (Routledge, 2017). A Fellow of the Online Learning Consortium, Ubell is a Member of the Council of the Chongqing (China) International Exchange Association.. Ubell was elected President in honor of his brother, Earl Ubell, a distinguished journalist, who had Parkinson’s disease and previously held this post since the inception of the Unity Walk.  Earl Ubell lost his battle with Parkinson’s disease in spring, 2007
