The 22nd Parkinson’s Unity Walk Raised More Than $1.4 Million for Parkinson’s Research

KINGSTON, N.J. (July 6, 2016) -- The Parkinson Alliance announced today that as a result of the 22nd Parkinson's Unity Walk, which took place on Saturday, April 23, 2016, over $1.4 million was raised.  The Parkinson's Unity Walk is the largest grassroots fundraiser for Parkinson's disease research in the country, and is our annual signature event.  The 1.4 mile wheelchair accessible Walk around New York City’s Central Park unites thousands of participants from across the country and supporters from around the world.

One hundred percent of this total number of donations will support critical research that is funded by seven U.S. Parkinson's foundations, including The Parkinson Alliance.
