The Parkinson Alliance attends the 4th Annual Mid-Summer Marketing Showcase in Palmer Square, Princeton
The Parkinson Alliance joined 70 other Princeton businesses and organizations on Thursday, July 18, 2010 on the Green at Palmer Square for the fourth annual Mid-Summer Marketing Showcase. Over 1,200 community members attended the event, sampling food and learning about local businesses and organizations. The event is a joint venture of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Bank of Princeton.
The thirty second rule still stands. That’s all it takes for someone who stopped by our table to let us know they have a friend or a loved one who has Parkinson’s disease. We were able to use this time to provide them with information about The Parkinson Alliance. They learned that the matching funds from The Tuchman foundation allow 100% of all donations and 100% of the net proceeds from all events to go directly to Parkinson’s research. We also shared information about the Parkinson’s Unity Walk held each April in New York’s Central Park and the more local event coming up in September- the 11th Annual Carnegie Center 5K and One Mile Fun Run to benefit The Parkinson Alliance. We even left the event with the names of a few potential volunteers!
The Parkinson Alliance is grateful to have participated in this successful community event and thanks the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Bank of Princeton for creating this venue.
