9th Annual Carnegie Center 5K and One Mile Fun Run
Over 600 participants did not let the talk of rain stop them from coming to the 9th Annual Carnegie Center 5K and One Mile Fun Run on Saturday, September 27th. In fact, this was our best turnout so far! With over 200 more participants and the great support of our sponsors, this year’s event brought in over $60,000.
This event is a nice opportunity for the Princeton area to come together for a great cause. The day began with the One Mile Fun Run followed by the 5K. After the race, participants joined their families on moon bounces and got mesmerized by magicians and clowns while enjoying the music. In addition, everyone enjoyed a wonderful lunch provided by one of our sponsors, and an awards ceremony for top runners and teams in their respective categories.
Each year, The Parkinson Alliance presents the King Award to one of our sponsors in recognition of their dedication and commitment to the Parkinson’s community. This year, we were proud to present the King Award to URS, formerly The Washington Group, for their continued support of the CC5K since its inception.
Thank you to all our sponsors and participants for helping us get closer to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
