Michele Tagliati, MD, FAAN

Dr. Michele Tagliati is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and he is a movement disorders specialist with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson's disease (PD). His professional life has been dedicated to caring for patients with PD and developing research protocols that will ultimately improve their quality of life. Dr. Tagliati is also a leader in the field of deep brain stimulation (DBS) for PD and Dystonia. He currently serves as teaching faculty at the annual DBS programming courses given at the American Academy of Neurology. He has published over 65 peer-reviewed articles and 20 book chapters.
 
A medical graduate and neurologist specialist from the University of Rome Italy, he moved to New York in 1991 with a PD research scholarship. After completing a second neurology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Tagliati served as a faculty member at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and he subsequently served as the Division Chief of Movement Disorders at Mount Sinai and Associate Professor of Neurology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, New York. As of September 2010, Dr. Tagliati has been Vice Chairman of Neurology and Director of the Movement Disorders Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
